Identify and measure for a replacement Mortice lock
Mortice locks come in two sizes (mostly) and can be measured without removing from the door.
You measure from the edge of the door to the centre of the keyway, if the measurement is 45mm you need 64mm (2.5”) Mortice lock, if the lock measures 57mm you need a 76mm (3”) Mortice lock.
Upgrade to a Mortice case
If you are replacing a Mortice lock and have some basic skills you could replace the lock with a case which accepts a cylinder.
This could be combined with our keying alike service so one key opens both doors. Very handy!
